About this 2005 Ford GT – SOLD

  • An outstanding example of the head-turning supercar in an iconic colour scheme, which presents in excellent condition.
  • Under the rear clam shell engine cover lies the Ford modular 5.4-litre supercharged V8 producing 550bhp and 500lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
  • It has benefited from a full cosmetic update at the leading GT specialists GT101.
  • It was built in March 2005 and imported to the UK and registered new here in March 2007.
  • There are just 2 former keepers recorded.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

  • Finished in MkIV Red with white painted ‘racing’ stripes, this GT also features the optional lightweight BBS wheels, and red painted brake callipers along with the premium audio system making it a “4 Option” car.
  • Its original owner’s manuals will be included in the original leather wallet with a fully stamped service book along with a history folder of relevant invoices.

CONDITION

  • Its red paintwork is in excellent condition, having been machine polished and treated by our in house detailer.
  • The engine compartment has also been fully cleaned and refinished to look far better than the vehicle’s 19 years of age would suggest.
  • Inside, its black leather upholstery is in very good condition with some age related creasing to the leather.
  • It will be supplied with a new MOT prior to sale.

SERVICE HISTORY

  • The vehicle had a very extensive cosmetic update in 2022 including all powertrain parts and exterior paintwork meaning that the car shows very little age related wear.
  • Its most recent service has been completed in September 2024 at 15,909 miles, where technicians at GT101 in Colchester changed the engine oil and filter, along with a full inspection.
  • The owners guide has service stamps dating back to 2008. Given it’s low mileage (just over 800 miles per year) it has been serviced approximately every 3,000 miles rather than annually

SUMMARY

This Ford GT is a fantastic modern supercar, which is not just blisteringly fast in a straight line, but also boasts impressive handling thanks to the development influence of Ford’s global team. In its launch year in the UK, it was crowned as Evo magazine’s Car of the Year, with the team calling it “one of the all-time great supercars”. Rarely seen on British roads, this car is in superb condition, and would make an eye-catching addition to any collection.
